Terms of Service

Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using CramClip, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum digital consent age where you live. If you use CramClip for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping access to your email and sign-in account secure and for activity under your CramClip account. Provide accurate information, do not share access, and tell us promptly if you believe the account has been compromised. You may not create an account for someone who cannot legally agree to these Terms.

Your material and permitted use

You retain ownership of material you upload. You give CramClip a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, process, transform, and transmit that material only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.

You must own the uploaded material or have permission to use it. CramClip is designed for your private, non-shared study use. You may not upload confidential, illegally obtained, infringing, malicious, or otherwise unlawful material; distribute generated courses in violation of another person's rights; or use CramClip to evade access controls.

The license above ends when the material is deleted from active systems, except for short-lived backups, legal retention, and processing already initiated to fulfill your request. You are responsible for the material you choose and for respecting copyright, privacy, confidentiality, and other rights.

AI-generated study content

CramClip uses automated systems to summarize and transform your material. Generated scripts, audio, answers, quizzes, and study plans may contain mistakes or omit important context. Verify critical information against your source and current authoritative materials. CramClip does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice and does not guarantee an exam result.

Subscriptions and Generation Credits

Paid plans renew automatically for the price and period shown at purchase unless you cancel through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. The store handles billing, cancellations, and eligible refunds under its rules. Restoring a purchase requires the same CramClip account and applicable store account.

Generation Credits estimate generated audio usage: one credit is approximately one minute of successfully generated audio. A quote is shown before paid generation; estimated credits are reserved and the final charge is settled from actual generated audio minutes. Subscription credits expire and roll over only as described in the app. Eligible Pro users may buy non-expiring top-up credits. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot independently unlock Pro features.

Deleting the app or your CramClip account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Cancel through the applicable store before its renewal deadline. Generated lessons already completed remain available while your CramClip account exists, even after Pro expires, subject to these Terms.

Store terms, cancellation, and refunds

Apple or Google is the seller of in-app purchases and controls payment authorization, renewal timing, cancellation, taxes, and eligible refunds. Their terms also apply. Prices and billing periods are shown in the purchase screen before confirmation. Except where law or the store's rules require otherwise, used Generation Credits are not refundable.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• interfere with, probe, overload, or bypass service security or usage limits;
• reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• use automated means to scrape, resell, or provide access to CramClip;
• impersonate another person or misuse another person's account; or
• use CramClip or generated content for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful activity.

CramClip software and generated content

CramClip and its software, design, branding, and service technology belong to its operator and licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service. They do not transfer ownership of the app or its technology.

As between you and CramClip, you may use the generated study content for your private study, subject to rights in the source material and applicable law. Automated output may not be unique, and similar output may be generated for others from different material. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve CramClip without an obligation to compensate you.

Copyright and reports

If you believe content processed through CramClip infringes your rights, email support@cramclip.com with your contact information, the work you own, the material at issue, its location, a good-faith statement, and a statement that your report is accurate and authorized. We may remove content or suspend repeat infringers where appropriate.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features; impose reasonable limits; or perform maintenance. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may update these Terms and will provide notice when required. Continuing to use CramClip after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using CramClip or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or end access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits—remain in effect.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from material you upload, your unlawful use of the service, or a material violation of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from CramClip's own conduct or where local consumer law does not permit it.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CramClip is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CramClip and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid CramClip in the previous twelve months or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

General terms and contact

These Terms are governed by the law applicable to CramClip's operator, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections or rights available where you live. Before bringing a formal claim, contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain effective. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganization or sale of the service.
